Girl Power (Personal Collection)

Post by Philip G Bell on 2007-11-20, 08:28

From my personal collection of poems inspired by my family.

A special bond between father and daughter ... she could twist me round my little finger!

A little girl, a little curl
The brightest diamond,
The smoothest pearl
And in her eyes
The deepest pool
Will pull you in
To waters cool
A father’s lost
He cannot win
She has her way
Comes from within
And no one doubts
That love is there
It flows right out
Just everywhere

Thank you Lanaia, as you will perhaps realise we are very close. She doesn't live too far away so we see her quite often, but she realises that she takes second place now to her son (our grandson) who gets all the attention Smile
